Brief:  To create a new HTML website for a catering and events company.

Response:  Simpkin & Roses were keen to create a website with a vintage feel to it, which would compliment their creative and contemporary work. Although they didn’t want to edit the design of the website, they would like to update text and menus using FTP. With some prior web knowledge and the desire for a bespoke web design, they decided not to opt for a ready-made content management system and instead went for a new HTML site.

Having researched web design and UI in the catering and events sector, preparing a short pdf report for them, we discussed the findings and took decisions on the look and feel of the website. I created illustrations in Adobe Illustrator to compliment the logo, which was already well established, before creating wireframes in Adobe Photoshop. Again the site was created in Dreamweaver and I used EasyRotator to power the galleries. You can view the site at www.simpkinandroses.com.
